Excerpt from the Bible study: Avoid Adultery

A word about marriage—the legal union of a man and woman—a commitment of mutual trust for and faithfulness to each other. Is faithfulness a key element of marriage?

Yes, too often the focus is on the ceremony, sex, conquest, emotional intimacy, security and jokingly being tied down—loss of freedom.

If we understand the role faithfulness plays the less likely we are to commit adultery.

Title: Sexual Adultery

Message in the picture:

“Adultery – extremely destructive sin”

Scripture for the day:

Mark 10:6-9 (RKJNT) But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this reason shall a man leave his father and mother, and be joined to his wife; 8 And the two shall be one flesh: so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate. [in verse 7 wife is gü-nā’ (goo-nay’) n. “a woman” (Liddell and Scott {LSJ} definition)” a woman of any age, whether a virgin, or married, or a widow” (Thayer’s definition)]

Thought for the day:

Please do not be a sexual cheater; be faithful to your spouse. If you are involved with someone that is married or a person that is not your spouse, stop what you are doing, it is not worth it. Keep marriage sacred, it is a commitment not only to your spouse but to God. —Tim
