Message in the picture:
“Jesus said – You cannot serve God and money – from Matthew 6:24”

Scripture and thought for the day:
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord]. [The Amplified Bible (AMP)]

Excerpt from the Prosperity Bible study:
God wants His children to learn to be content with what they have. We should not be hard-to-please complainers.

Philippians 4:11-13 I am not saying I need anything. I have learned to be happy with whatever I have.

12 I know how to get along with little and how to live when I have much. I have learned the secret of being happy at all times. If I am full of food and have all I need, I am happy. If I am hungry and need more, I am happy.

13 I can do all things because Christ gives me the strength. (NLV)

Message in the picture:

“Trust God not your money or things – True wealth comes from God”

Scripture for the day:

Proverbs 11:28 He who leans on and trusts in and is confident in his riches will fall,

But the righteous [who trust in God’s provision] will flourish like a green leaf. (AMP)

Thought for the day:

Heaven is a reward for the children of God, Jesus warns those who live in prosperity / the rich / they that have wealth now, that they have their reward on earth. James continues this warning “You have lived a self-satisfying life on this earth, a life of luxury” [read James 5:1-6].

A lesson often misunderstood from Paul:

Philippians 4:11-13 and 19 “Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 12 I know how to be in need, and I also know how to have plenty; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and want. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Common) 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (KJV)

Did you know Jesus was a carpenter that did not have a house? He was the king of kings, but did not have a palace or wear royal clothing. Are you following His example? Learn to live and be like Jesus and be blessed in Jesus name — Tim.
